Your therapist
Hello, I’m Kiu, a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist specialising in Voice, Upper Airway Disorders, and Head and Neck Cancer care.
Since qualifying, I’ve developed a broad clinical foundation across areas including stroke, neurology, acute medicine, and dysphagia. This has been a valuable contribution to my current specialisms (Voice, Upper Airway, Head and Neck Cancer)—areas I care deeply about and feel privileged to support individuals through.
In my NHS role, I have worked as a Clinical Lead for Voice and Head and Neck Cancer services. I have extensive experience in conducting Joint Voice Clinic alongside ENT laryngologists, with involvement of laryngoscopy and stroboscopy, as well as Speech Therapist-led Endoscopic Evaluation of the Larynx assessments.
Whether you are recovering from illness, managing a long-term condition, or looking to optimise your voice, I aim to provide a supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and confident in your progress.
Outside of clinical work, I enjoy exploring the great outdoors, musical theatre, singing, and getting my hands dirty with pottery.
Approach
I take on a holistic and person-centered approach, holding a relaxed space for listening and tailoring therapeutic plans to suit your specific goals and lifestyle.
My sessions balance evidence base with individual circumstances, aiming to achieve sustained effective gains via a personalised route that works and makes sense for you.
Our sessions should feel easy, natural and comfortable- akin to how your throat/ voicing should feel as we progress.

Kind Words

"I just wanted to say thank you so much! I know my voice is not a life or death issue but I depend on my voice as a drama teacher and you've helped me massively! I'm now more aware of how my throat feels and how to look after it and will be using your advice and exercises for the rest of my life. You have been amazing and I'm so glad I can talk comfortably and sound like myself again!"
